Character - Pinkie-Pie. My little ponies are easy, as they don't have any particular last name or family connection. Except for the apple family...who's names are all related to apples. For the sake of Head Canon however, her parents are both "pies".
Timeline - Just after the end of "Fall weather friends"
Description of World - The magical land of Equestria is full of light, laughter, and...ponies. Ponies who work together to do things like cause the seasons to change. They their lives keeping in harmony and generally having fun. Their biggest work involves their "Winter wrap-up festival" and "The running of the leaves". They do have personal events however like fashion shows, balls, and parties.
Equestria is ruled by the beautiful Princess Celestia. She sends the main character (Twilight Sparkle) to Ponyville with the directive to learn about the inhabitants, oversee events, and "make friends". Twilight, while there makes friends with the six other characters, one of whom is Pinkie-Pie.
While Equestria is a nice place, it has a dark side too. It takes the form of Princess Celestia's sister "Nightmare Moon" who causes the moon to rise. In the very first episode, Nightmare Moon plunged the land into darkness. She was returned to her true form with "The Elements of Harmony" but there are creatures in the land that represent danger for all of the ponies.
Personality -
Pinkie Pie is loyal to a fault, sweet as the candy which she helps to sell in the sweet shop, and occasionally as silly as a sack full of cats. She prides herself on her ability to plan parties and is determined to be friends with everyone, no matter who (or what) they are. She is unafraid to introduce herself to others. She is polite and cheerful to complete strangers, including those who don't have her best interests at heart.
She knows not to take people too seriously. She can pull a party together in less then a few hours, and Pinkie's parties are regarded as some of the best in Ponyville.
She is unafraid of most "scary things" because her grandmother taught her to laugh in the face of fear. She knows when to run if the mood of the group changes however. If Pinkie did have a personal fear it would be that the party would end and people would stop having fun. Her goal is to get people to smile, and laugh.
She'll brazenly introduce herself to others and only back away when either Twilight Sparkle or Fluttershy tell her to. She's sweetly stupid in regards to interactions. The scariest creature would get a warm "Hello" and she would ask if they were playing a game. If she can't actually help you defeat an enemy, she can at least distract them so that you can get away. She will of course, be right behind.
Pinkie has an ability that affects her behavior as well. She gets strange "twitches" that can be used to predict events like rain. Her "twitches" are taken relatively seriously by Ponyville citizens. They are a combination of ear wiggles, tail swishing, and jitters that won't go away until the event itself has actually occurred. This has given her a tolerance for the unexpected because...there is no unexpected with Pinkie. It's either a game or it'll all work itself out in time.
If Pinkie were a person, she would be "The Dude." Calm, a pacifist, willing to do whatever it takes for her friends, and generally (surprisingly) very zen about her activities. Put that with a little bit of a silly attitude and she's the dude...if he were pink and a pony.
The thing I would like to avoid (unless appropriate) is that Pinkie occasionally breaks the fourth wall. While it's funny in canon, I seriously think it would be inappropriate in game.
Pinkie's role in the series consists of her throwing parties and teaching the group life lessons about laughter. She gets the ponies into trouble, and could probably stand to learn a little more about the world herself...rather then walk into dangerous situations.

She had a relatively uneventful colt hood and attended the majority of parties and galas during the Camelot party season. She had a "clopping out" party before announcing that she would assist her parents in their party planning business. She did for a few years, but soon migrated to Ponyville after her mother retired.

Pinkie works in Mr. and Mrs. Cake's hop making treats for other ponies. She plans parties pretty regularly.
She met Twilight Sparkle in the beginning of the series. Sensing a new arrival, she decided the occasion called for a party. Her party was a hit, and half of Ponyville attended. It was during this party hyowever, that Nightmare Moon arrived and spooked the residents of Ponyville. Banding together, Twilight Sparkle and the girls managed to defeat Nightmare Moon using the elements of harmony. Twilight stayed, and the seven main characters have been together ever since.
The characters have a variety of adventure where each one of them learns lessons. Notable adventures include Swarm of the Century Where Pinkie used music to drive off the parasprites, Call of the Cutie Marks where Apple Bloom helped Pinkie bake muffins (burned muffins that Pinkie then ate), Winter wrap up Where Pinkie showed off her skating talent, and Fall-Weather friends. The ponies attend the "Running of the Leaves" and Pinkie acts as commentator for the race.

Abilities/Additional Notes - Pinkie acts as a foil to the other characters. She is a goof and plays pranks on everyone from Rainbow Dash to Twilight. Flutteryshy is off limits, but the rest are fair game. There are several episodes where she plays pranks on the ponies.
In the episode "Winter Wrap-Up" we learn that she can ice-skate. This is a very special talent, given that...she has hooves.
She is a party planner and loves throwing special events. She will also eat anything (the most notable being cupcakes with hot sauce)
Pinkie also likes to sing and seems to know how to play several different musical instruments. Where she got this talents is a mystery.

Pinky knew that much. The last thing she remembered was congratulating Applejack and Rainbow Dash who had run off for the rest of the race. Everything else was a blur. This was bad. The last time she'd forgotten something was when she'd eaten so many cupcakes she'd gotten sick but this...
"Ha." Pinkie pranced forward, hooves walking across a harder surface, "Ha Ha-Hey!" Her hooves made neat noises. She tapped to the right and left, contriving a small quickstep before moving forward, "HA!" she paused, "HA HA!" Granny Pie and her wise words were enough to make anyone feel better.
She just wished she could have a pony hug to go along with it. This was a little darker then she was used to. She expected trees and the forest, not...stone.
She twitched her tail, "...Hello?" She tilted her head, "Helllooooo-Twilight? Rainbow Dash? Hellooooo..."
She shrugged before continuing on. Coming to a rock, she hopped to the top and peered into the distance. She frowned, "...I wish I had my balloon. Then it'd be easier to see."
A few moments passed before she grinned, "I'll just go and find it!"
She began to hum a little song as she made her way off the rock. If anything, this place needed a party. And I might be just the one to do it!
